Android icons are a separate asset type from store screenshots. Use App Icon Generator for the current icon-specific creation and export workflow.

Prepare an adaptable icon source

• Use approved, high-resolution artwork with a clear visual center.
• Avoid putting important logo detail too close to the edge, where launchers and masks may crop it.
• Keep the icon distinct from its background and test it at small sizes.
• Coordinate icon colors and product identity with the screenshots, but do not add screenshot headlines or campaign copy to the icon.

Validate for the destination

Open App Icon Generator and follow the current options it provides. Before publishing, validate the delivered asset in Android Studio and check Google Play’s current icon and submission requirements.
