iOS app icons

App icons are not part of the Screenshot Editor export. Use the separate App Icon Generator when you need to create or prepare an icon for an iOS application.

Prepare source artwork first

• Start with approved, high-resolution artwork that remains recognizable at small sizes.
• Keep essential logo detail away from the outer edge; platform masking and scaling can make edge detail disappear.
• Remove unapproved text, launch-specific dates, or product claims that will become stale quickly.
• Check the icon beside the store screenshots so color, product name, and brand direction stay coherent.

Work in the icon-specific workflow

Open App Icon Generator and follow the options shown there for the current icon creation and export flow. Verify the result in Xcode and against Apple’s current submission requirements before release.

Do not expect a Screenshot Editor ZIP to contain an iOS icon package; its purpose is to deliver screenshot frames. Return to Related tools to choose the right workflow for each delivery asset.
