How to resize iPhone screenshots for the App Store

  1. Upload your original capture

Start with the largest clean capture of your app. A small image will not gain detail when enlarged.

  2. Check the selected iPhone size

1206 × 2622 is ready to use. Keep Fit to show the whole interface, or choose Free Crop to position a tighter composition.

  3. Review and download

Check navigation bars, captions, and edge content in the preview. Export PNG, then verify it in the matching App Store Connect slot.

Fit preserves the whole interface

When source and target proportions differ, Fit adds a background around the image. Fill crops the edges. Use Free Crop when a specific feature needs to stay in frame.

Keep screenshot resizing separate from redesign

A resizer changes the canvas and placement. If your listing needs headlines, device frames, or a new visual story, continue in the screenshot editor after preparing your source images.

Frequently asked questions

Which iPhone size is preselected?

The tool starts on iOS with 1206 × 2622 pixels selected, Fit mode, and PNG output. You can choose 1179 × 2556 or another accepted size from the iOS presets.

Can I resize landscape App Store screenshots?

Yes. Enter the reversed dimensions, such as 2622 × 1206, under Custom Size. Turn off Maintain aspect ratio when entering both values for an exact target canvas, then review the Fit or Crop preview.

Should I upload every iPhone size?

Use the display groups requested for your app in App Store Connect. Apple allows scaling between some groups, so the preset list is a set of choices rather than a checklist.

Are my screenshots uploaded to a server?

The resizer reads and processes your screenshot locally in your browser. Resizing and downloading are free and do not require an account.
